Self Field trips for Intro to Cosmology

This semester I am taking a Astronomy Class. Its called Introduction to Cosmology. I really enjoy that class and find it a lot of fun to learn. In that class I am allowed to do up to three extra credit. So far I did two of the three extra credit. The first Extra Credit was a event at Bogart's Coffee House in Seal beach. Across the street there was a event where people used telescopes to look at the night sky. I got to look into a telescope. I saw the Moon. I also got to take a picture of the moon. That night I learned about The winter triangle and learned about the contellion Orion and the two dog constellion Canis Major and Canis Minor. I also saw Sirus the brightest Star. For the Second Extra Credit I went to Griffith Observatory. I got to see a show which talked a lot about the universe. The observatory had a lot of info on Moon phases, Eclipses, and why we have seasons. There was a room where they talked abot each planet and there was a section about Pluto and beyond. I also got to see all of Los Angeles from the observatory and took a few pictures of L.A.
