I finished reading "I"m Glad My Mom Died" by Jenette McCurdy. Jennette McCurdy is a actress that appeared in shows I grew up watching. Those shows would be ICarly and Sam & Cat. I read the book because I wanted to read about want it is like growing up on children shows and being famous at a young age from someone who experience that. The book was massively popular and I can see why. Her memoir does a good job at explaining that behind the the camera life is not perfect. The memoir also does a good job at explaining that not eveyone wants to or likes acting. The memoir focuses a lot about Jennette"s relationship with her mother. All she wanted to do was to please her mother but what her mother wanted Jennette to do to please her was abusive. It is good that she found help and and is no longer stuck in that abuse from both her mother and the T.V network. I found this book a good book to read because it explains from someones experience how powerful a parent and a T.V. network can have on a child.
