The Princess Diaries 25th Anniversary event

June 13, 2026 I went to The Princess Diaries pop up event at Doheney Mansion with my friend. Doheney mansion is where they filmed the first The Princess Diaries. The mansion was on a college campus. We got there early and were let in early. Inside were the props, costumes,and setting from the movie. We of course were not allowed to touch anything. Before entering the staff gave us Genovia flags.The mansion is the mansion used in the film were Mia would go and see her grandmother for princess lessons. We got to see the journal Mia used to write in and we also got to see the crowns used during filming. One of the crowns on display was her cat fat Louie's crown.We got to see all the dresses used during the filming and we got to see her school uniform. In one of the rooms they had the dinner table set up and the seating of the the state dinner scene from the movie. After the tour was over they handed us a gift bag. The gift bag contained a journal, stickers, and enamel pins. I found the event very fun and happy I was able to attend.
